Multiple one and two-storey prototypes for a modifiable container house were developed for a manufacturer based in Winnipeg. The homes can be deployed to remote locations deep within cottage country and beyond, and are designed to run entirely off-grid. In addition to their potential as practical, low-cost wilderness retreats, these units can serve as emergency and temporary shelters within cities experiencing housing shortages and homelessness crises.

The modifiable container homes were designed with sustainability in mind, using eco-friendly materials and incorporating features such as rainwater collection systems, solar panels, and composting toilets. These off-grid homes are not only environmentally conscious, but also offer a self-sufficient lifestyle for those looking to disconnect from traditional power grids and utility systems. The prototypes were also designed to maximize space efficiency, with features such as fold-out beds and multi-purpose furniture. With the ability to easily transport and assemble, these container homes provide a versatile solution for a variety of housing needs.
