The Berens River First Nation Event Centre was designed with the intent of providing its local community a place of gathering and gaming. The building was designed with simplicity and elegance in mind. The design utilizes straightforward building techniques with wood frame construction and a pitched roof. By incorporating this design style it will allow the local community trades to be a part of the construction phase.

The centre will function as both gaming facility (rear of building) and a community centre (front of building), where the community can house a multitude of events, ranging from bingo evenings to small conventions bringing local and rural communities together.
